Having worked in the Enterprise application implementation field for more than two decades I can vouch the best ROI from implementing applications comes from the ownership of the end user rather than the re engineering idea generally sold by the big management consulting. While a process has to be constantly validated and corrected we should never attempt to change it just because an Enterprise System has that process automated.
